With a number of comics now produced by digital mediums, it's always nice to see when people work by hand. Kaoru Mori, creator of Emma and A Bride's Story, details the entire process in a six-video series. The first one, above, details the early stages of drawing a character -- all the sketching and under-drawings, so to say.
After the jump, we have the rest of the process which includes four long processes of inking the character followed by adding in the toning. That last stage, toning, was one that really surprised me to see just how delicate the artist needs to be in order to not damage the entire drawing.
Watch and see just how far creators go to make your favorite comics.
