Anime North 2014 is this weekend!

With Memorial Day weekend upon us, we have three great cons in North America again this coming weekend. Anime North, the biggest anime con in Canada, is offering its usually diverse programming from J-rock acts to live action wrestling? English and Japanese voice acting? Flea market and exclusive balls? You name it, Anime North has it, probably.

The third and fourth largest anime conventions in North America last year are Anime Central and Anime North. They land on back to back weeks this year, and I pity whoever has to attend both conventions, like me. But at the same time I'm pretty excited to be able to see Yumi Hara, the voice of Takane from Idolm@ster, along with super veteran Japanese voice actor and co-founder of Aoni Production, Hidekatsu Shibata, and fellow seiyuu Mai Goto. Anime North will also showcase J-rock band DaizyStripper, who are pretty cool back when I saw them in '08, and VK duo Rose Noire. To top it off, there's the usual parade of English voice acting talents, aerial acrobats, wrestlers, comic artists and illustrators, costumers, fashion designers and cosplayers, entertainers, performers and musicians from North America and more.

Toronto is a fun city to visit, but I hope the locals come out in force this weekend and come and support the guests! Who's going?
