Do you remember Bubblegum Crisis? I do, because over the years (decades?) I've managed to buy it once every so many years. With the recent Kickstarter this would be just the third time I have purchased this relic from the OVA days of anime, and it isn't even that many compared to some others. That said, fifty dollars in 2014-inflated term is about the cost of one and a half episodes of BGC, on VHS, back in the '90s. Thankfully this Blade Runner-inspired dystopia story is still just as good as it was so many years ago.
So with that said, you have until June 1st to put down some money and get yourself a helping of anime history in its latest, best form. Given this is the post-funded, Paypal-driven stage of the game, you have a variety of options between the basic and premium editions, or the two-pack options. As a bonus, you can also participate in one of the most convoluted backer-based design process for a crowdfunded product that I've ever seen. It is kind of fun, but also tinged with a trace of melancholy that's oddly fitting for a story about life in a futuristic dystopia. If that sounds like a good time, you can join the fun here.
