TGS 2014: Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax's console release gets two Valkyria Chronicles characters

For a second, it seemed that Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax's Sega characters for the title's PS3 and Vita release were limited to Virtua Fighter. Lo and behold, Selvaria and Alicia are now joining the game's roster. While I haven't dived into Valkyria Chronicles yet, it's nice to see that Dengeki Bunko's adding more Sega characters to the mix. As for their roles in the title, Selvaria's entering the front line as a playable fighter, and Alicia is standing in the rear as a support character.

Based on the screenshots and videos of the two characters, Selvaria looks like a fun character to use, since her Valkyrur powers lets her unleash energy blast with her heavy lance. On top of that, her gun and teleporting abilities allow for players to spice things up during their combos. While we only saw Alicia throw a grenade in the video, the game's screenshots imply that she'll bring more weapons to the table.

Of course, if I plan to learn Selvaria, then I'll make sure that I play through my copy of Valkyria Chronicles first, as it'll improve my experience with using the character in battle. Since Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax's console version comes out on Nov. 13, there's still some time for me to play VC before the game hits Japan. As we wait for the promised day, you can take a look at some images of Selvaria and Alicia in the gallery below.
