It's time to look at Ninninger's first set of toys, and things are starting to look even more promising for the upcoming ninja-themed Sentai series. Of course, the best thing out of this toyline is the Shurikenjin, since it's practically a robot that sits on a freaking giant robot throne. Not only that, the colossal ninja is able to change into different forms, which depends on the robot who sits on the royal chair.
Interestingly the robots that make up the Shurikenjin are a ninja, a dragon, a dump truck, a dog, and a train. Going by the names of Shinobimaru, Dragomaru, Dumpmaru, Wanmaru, and Byunmaru, the Ninninger's theme for the robots seem very random. I mean, how are dump trucks and trains connected to ninjas? If anything, the ridiculous concept behind the mechs might imply that the show'll be very fun and silly.
In regards to the Shurikenjin's form changing gimmick mentioned earlier, the robot utilizes various shuriken-like helmets to make this feature possible. For example, if the Shurikenjin wears a blue helmet, then it'll change into Shurikenjn Drago, a machine that places Dragomaru on the throne. Aside from Ao Ninger's robot, the Shurikenjin can utilize two support machines known as the Otomo Shinobu, which go by the name of Paonmaru and UFOmaru. With these two robots at its side, the machine can also become an elephant ninja or a UFO ninja robot.
