We're less than a week away from the Utada Hikaru tribute album, Hikaru no Uta. Quite a few tracks can currently be previewed on her official YouTube channel already. Much to my surprise there was actually quite a treat waiting for me as well. A special new video for her hit, Beautiful World, which was used in the Evangelion 1.0 film.
The new version was actually "built" by studio Khara, the team behind the latest Neon Genesis Evangelion movies. The whole thing is quiet dazzling and makes you appreciate the quality of the films, and of course the amazing song. Now, all we can do is await the next movie and new music from the Queen of J-Pop herself. We miss you Hikki!
