Hardcore Chocolate has become well known around these parts for spinning some cool fibers for Kill la Kill characters, using flat, monochromatic illustrations that really pop. Their yellow-themed Mako Mankanshoku design and red-themed Ryuko Matoi/Senketsu design are incredibly cool, causing quite a buzz on the internet -- but I've been waiting for the inevitable missing piece that would complete the primary color trio of bad-ass protagonists.
At last, everyone's favorite school dictator Satsuki Kiryuin is joining the line-up, and it's glorious. Rocking the blue, Junketsu-donning Satsuki is in her iconic dominant pose, with all the punky stylings that Hardcore Chocolate is known for. Now, if I had any say in what Kill la Kill shirts I want to see crop up next, I'd personally love a series for the villains, Ragyo and Nui. Another natural addition would be a series incorporating the student council 'Elite Four'. Hell, just having a Nonon Jakuzure shirt would probably cause a frenzy!
Running at ¥3,800 (about $38 USD) this shirt is not cheap, and you'll likely have to jump through a few hoops to acquire these, either via proxy or navigating through a Japanese order form (not to mention the deadly shipping costs), but these are some quality designs and some of the most attractive shirts based on an anime I've seen.
