Meiji era Ace Attorney game gets its first trailer

Ace Attorney is easily one of my top five favorite video game series. It's weird, it's got fantastic characters, and the music gets my blood pumping at all the right times. I loved Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies, and to say I was excited for the next entry would be the understatement of the century.

Then Capcom had to go and announce Dai Gyakuten Saiban: The Adventures of Naruhodou Ryuunosuke for the 3DS. It's Ace Attorney as we all know and love it, only this time it takes place in the Meiji period of Japan, and stars Naruhodou Ryuunosuke, an ancestor of Phoenix. The first teaser trailer for the game has popped up, revealing another new character in the form of Mikotoba Susato. We don't know a whole lot about the game thus far, but the teaser has great music, the character designs are rocking, and I can't wait to see the Ace Attorney series' version of Meiji era justice. If this makes it west, I can't wait to see how the localizers deal with the longstanding series tradition of trying to pretend the games take place in America. There's no running from this one.

Fortunately, Youtube user Bolt2nd has graciously subtitled the trailer for those of you not Japanese inclined. Check it out above and sound off below if you're as excited as I am to scream objection at historical figures.
