Aksys Games announced that moé fighting game Arcana Heart 3: Love Max!!!!! will be hitting the Playstation 3 and Vita Fall 2014. This version of the series is a revision based off the original Arcana Heart 3, originally released in Japanese arcades in late 2009. It also eventually made it to the US on the Playstation Network April 2011.
New features for Love Max!!!!! include Japanese audio, six-player online lobbies, trial modes, galleries for the ladies and a match sharing system so you can show people how two lolis summoned giant demons to beat each other into a pulp. Like the original Arcana Heart 3, Love Max!!!!! has 23 characters with 23 corresponding arcana summons, each adding new attacks and altering each fighter's stats. That's over 500 possible combinations between girls and arcanas. When we get more info about a solid release date, we'll let you know.
I played the original Arcana Heart when it came out on the PS2 late in its life cycle. I thought it was pretty charming, if a bit cloying with the moé aesthetic. It ran pretty well and it had a solid variety of fighting types, not even including the alterations that each Arcana would bring in. So you take that idea and bump it up to HD, then you got my attention! Come Fall, I'll see about picking this one up.
