It's really amazing how Anime Expo continues to be one of the most diverse con when it comes to cosplaying things from anime and manga. For those of us canvassing the whole thing, note that while the count of Homestucks have dropped, they are still a force to reckon with. What is more of a surprise is the percentage of Kill la Kill cosplayers versus Attack on Titan cosplayers--it's about even. This is distinctly not so much the case at every other con I attended this year where survey corps jackets reigned, so it's something that stuck out to me.
Maybe it's the July SoCal sun that makes the Nudist Beach "outfits" all that more sensible? Put on some sunscreen guys! Maybe that's also what makes our guests of honors at AX, Ami Koshimizu and Ryouka Yuzuki, cosplay their Kill la Kill characters as well. Unfortunately technical difficulty prevented me for featuring those two, but instead you can check out anison duo Angela in their team Blue get-up from the K: Missing Kings premiere.
