Happy New Year, Anime Vice Community! Sure, I'm technically a week late, but this is my first time addressing you all this year. So, it counts. I may have taken a few weeks off, but Tom was delivering a steady stream for you anime junkies.
There was the news about the EVANGELION / ATTACK ON TITAN theme parks. I watched some of those videos. Boy, talk about nightmare fodder in the making. He then took a look back on BLACK LAGOON , but my favorite was his choice to dive into later life DETECTIVE CONAN . There was also some big revelations with the Scarlett Johansson signing on to play the lead in Hollywood's interpretation of GHOST IN THE SHELL . You all can decide on that outcome.

Anime AMV Showcase
Picking this week's AMV was easy. I stumbled across this really well edited video for KILL LA KILL , my personal favorite of last year. The song is by ONE OK ROCK and already been added to my personal workout list. I've listened to a few of their songs. They really seem to like fusing English and Japanese lyrics. An editing decision that I really enjoy is mixing in some of KILL LA KILL's dialog among the song. It's also a nice touch to start it off with Satsuki's heel stomp.
