Holy Snap: A person walks a polar bear through Shibuya's streets

At first sight, I was surprised that someone decided to take a polar bear to Shibuya, since the concept behind this action isn't something that you don't see everyday. Based on the animal's movements, it's obvious that the polar bear is either a robotic creature or a person in a suit. Either way, this doesn't change the fact that Shibuya's residents got to experience a random stunt like this.

The feat was done by a Russian group called LALSH, and the "polar bear's" name is Hachiko. Interestingly, the team is planning on revealing something on Oct. 24 in Shinjuku, which might be connected to the event in Shibuya. At the moment, the organization's plan remains a mystery, so we'll have to wait until the promised day to see what they're building up for. My guess is that it'll be a beary interesting surprise for those who witness the big surprise first hand.

In the meantime, I'm going to hope that the stunt's purpose is to promote a realistic polar bear suit, since it could be used as a neat prop to play a trick on someone down the road.
