Shounen cooking anime Shokugeki no Soma, known in the US as Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma, is going to air this April. Food Wars is about Soma Yokihara, a young and skilled chef who wants to work as a chef in his father's restaurant. Just about when Soma is able to finish middle school, his father closes up his restaurant and challenges Soma to attend Totsuki Culinary School, which has a 10% graduation rate because of the super high standards.
The Food Wars anime will be produced by JC Staff and looks absolutely good judging from the trailers here. The food in the anime looks great (though not Kokofuku Graffiti level) and as with the shounen manga, plenty of pretty fanservice as well. Truly a feast for the eyes.
