Attack on Titan inevitably headed to Toonami on May 3

I called this a few episodes into Attack on Titan when I watched it during its original run at Crunchyroll, but FUNimation has just made it official: Attack on Titan will be airing on Toonami beginning Saturday, May 3rd. If you've skipped out on the series citing subtitles as your reasoning, or if you've been looking to see what all the fuss is about, this is your chance! It's also your chance to hear the English dub actors in action, as well as brace yourselves for the deluge of Attack on Titan merchandise you're going to start seeing in stores now that it's truly hit the big time in America.

This makes a pretty hefty FUNimation block on Toonami, with One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Black Lagoon, and Space Dandy also airing during the same block. It's been an awesome year for anime on Toonami. Remember how we were all worried we'd never see anything new due to licensing issues? Sure seems silly to have worried all this time about all of that when there's a heaping helping of anime goodness every Saturday night. Let's hope the dub delivers, and if you want to see more anime coming to Toonami, make sure you tune in.
