Sword Art Online II to simulcast worldwide, airing in Japan in July

Following the success of the first Sword Art Online series, the second installment, Sword Art Online II, will be simulcast worldwide. Aniplex confirmed the announcement today, and the series will be airing in Japan in July of this year.


In addition, there will be Sword Art Online II special Premiere events behind held in several countries, though at this time, streaming schedules and locations have yet to be announced. Screening information is forthcoming at a later date as well, but will be held in the U.S., France, Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan.


While you're waiting to get in on the fun, a special interactive event known as the "Sword Art Online" awards will be taking place while the hype train keeps a-rollin'. Beginning tomorrow, April 20th, fans will be able to head to the official Japanese Sword Art Online homepage and cast their votes for some of the best aspects of the series in general, such as Best Male and Female Character or Best Episode to name a few.
