I don't know about you guys, but I'm super hyped for the Lupin III special film, The Tomb of Daisuke Jigen. It's directed by Redline director Takeshi Koike and features music by James Shimoji (also of Redline) and will tell the tale of how Jigen and Lupin first meet. The first teaser trailer for the film has been released and it looks awesome. I'm totally in love with the colors on display here, and... Lupin in a blue jacket? I like it!
The film will have a limited release in Japanese theaters from June 21st through the 27th, and will reportedly run about 50-ish minutes. It almost seems like a TV special that may have gotten a bit of an upgrade, perhaps? I hope international fans will be able to see it soon, as I'm eager to get my hands on it.
