Stupid Shinji and his stupid tape player. All he ever does is replay that one track. You'd think he'd get tired of it by now, or at the very least he could upgrade to a CD player or an iPod. But no, he's still stuckwith a Sony Walkman. Sony's taking pity on the poor child and offering him an upgrade, complete wth HD audio and some spiffy new artwork.
The Sony Walkman F Evangelion Series: SDAT is probably the coolest thing ever, with art on the front and back designed to look just like Shinji's Walkman and the Evangelion movie soundtracks installed on every unit. If you plunk down the cash for the special edition with XBA-H3 headphones, this neat little gadget will run you 87,000 yen (about $870), but there's a cheaper version available without headphones or retro packaging retailing for 43,000 yen (about $430).
It's pricey to keep running away from your problems, but if you want to do it you can at least do it in style if you've got the cash. I'm not ashamed to admit I want this, though I really wouldn't have any use for it.
