Big Persona announcement? Persona 4 Golden getting a show

After a fair amount of speculation earlier this week, the big news that Atlus was sitting on was none other than a new Persona 4 TV show, called Persona 4 the Golden ANIMATION, or P4GA for brevity's sake. Once again, we'll be taken on Yu Narukami's adventure after he moves to the quiet town of Inaba and a string of murders occur. This time, we'll be joined by Marie, a new character introduced in the Persona 4 Golden Vita game, as well as some new scenes that were in that version of the game. A-1 is taking care of production this time around and it looks like we've got all the major players back.

The biggest surprise for me? It's coming out this July. Barring just plainly reusing chunks of the original Persona 4 the Animation, this must have been in production for a while. I'm hoping it's not a rehash, but a restructuring of P4A. I enjoyed the original, but it definitely had some pacing problems and cheap animation in the middle of the show. Hopefully, that won't be an issue this time around.

Anybody out there looking forward to P4GA?
