Well, you know it had to happen sooner or later. The Earth became impossibly full of advertisements, so they had to start using the moon. In all seriousness, Japanese soft drink maker Otsuka, producers of the oddly tasty Pocari Sweat, have revealed plans to send one of their beverages to the moon in 2015 with the Falcon 9 rocket, which helps supply the International Space Station.
This isn't just any old can of Pocari Sweat. No, the drink maker had a can designed to withstand the rigors of space and the moon for 30 year. Enough time to, say inspire a kid to become an astronaut and grab that can. No word yet whether the Pocari Sweat will be any good in 30 years.
Along with the can, Otsuka is planning to include metal disks etched with the "dreams of children" sent into their website. Interestingly enough, the site is available in English, so go there and drop your dreams onto their forms and make it into space!
