Lupin is heading back to Cagliostro after 35 years. A digitally remastered version of The Castle of Cagliostro, Hayao Miyazaki's first theatrical film, and beloved Lupin the Third movie, will begin showing in Japanese theaters starting May 9th. A new trailer has been released to promote it, showing off the differences between the original and the updated version.
In addition, the first 10,000 theater-goers will be able to nab a B4-sized reprint of the original movie flyer that was given out in 1979. That's not too big, but I'd kill to have a poster-sized version of that illustration.
Anyone in Japan going to see this?
